ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
When we convert a store to a lower-GWP refrigerant, the warming that refrigerant would have caused never happens. Across every gas conversion since August 2025, that adds up.

THE JOURNEY
Founded by two technicians in 2012. Every expansion since has followed the same signal: a partner asking us to go further.
2012
Marty Hicks and Jordan Hughes open Major Refrigeration from a Grimsby garage. First big clients: Foodland in Thorold and No Frills in Beamsville.
2014 - 2017
Robinson Street first, then a larger West Lincoln facility, as the roster of grocery banners keeps growing.
2022
The move to Woolverton Road puts warehouse, parts operation and dispatch under one roof in Grimsby.
2024
A national grocery partner asks Major to follow them east. Two service trucks drive to Moncton - and a new division is born.
2025
A dedicated Maritimes office opens in Memramcook, and Grimsby's arena becomes the Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre.
2026
The team moves to a purpose-built headquarters on South Service Road in Grimsby - more warehouse, more parts inventory, and room for a roster past 200.
